US Government Accepts Your Online Donation to Help Pay Off Public Debt
I mean, why not? The US national debt has reached over 13 trillion dollars on June 1, 2010. That is a heck of a lot of money to spend, more over to pay off. Here is an article that gives you an idea of how much 13 trillion dollars is. If you spend $1 every SECOND every day of your life (which is $86,400 a day), it will take you 31,000 years to spend all 13 trillion dollars.
Another amusing comparison in that article is this: if you spend $1 million dollar every DAY, since the day that Jesus Christ was born, you will not have spent even $1 trillion dollar today! That is how much the US debt is.
So, please understand the US government if it is now accepting online donations to pay off that much debt.
