There are many things in society I do not understand, don’t like, think need to be changed. I figure it’s time to mention some of them as I think the world has it backwards.
What annoys me?
1) People who feed you to medicate you
It can be a wife, a girlfriend, mother or grandmother. When you come home upset, you probably need advice. If you for example instead tell your son “Don’t worry, I made you your favorite food” when the 12 year old is already close to 200 pounds, then you must not have true friends looking out for the best of your child telling you to change things around.
2) Men who tell their sons that “women are bitches”
Your inability to deal with the opposite sex will change your child’s natural ability to connect with females into a position of hesitation and suspicion just waiting for problems rather than proactively charming things into a good vibe.
3) Teachers who can’t keep their mouth shut about anger towards public figures
Why is it that teachers during the time of Hitler in Germany didn’t say a peep out of fear, yet in times of freedom cannot stop mentioning their personal preferences.Shut up already and let children make up their own minds.
4) Anyone who labels him or herself … and then the kids
Especially when the label is one that your children do not understand yet mindlessly repeat. Ever hear an 8 year-old refer to himself as a blue dog Democrat? I have. And you wonder why the world is so full of successful people making terrible choices and people you will never hear of doing behind the scenes work to fix those.
5) People not busy but too busy for the kids
At least pretend to do something important. “I’m watching the game” is not really a way to reasonably convey to your kid why you cannot answer a simple question.
6) Insecure people making others insecure
Especially with kids, but also friends. “I have a dream I was rich and famous” … ” Haha … this will never happen to people like us”.
7) The hygienically insensitive
This is huge in Europe and makes as little sense as anything on this list combined. Why do Europeans for example build their toilets in the center of the apartment with absolutely no window to the outside smelling up the whole entire flat? And why do they build toilets there the way that … well, I am disgusted now, so how about a pic:
8) Those allowing others to control who they love or hate
Just because a clergy tells you someone is ” a good man” or you fellow soccer fans convince you to hate those supporting another team shouldn’t make you do so. And if you want an example impacting me in my childhood look up the 1985 game in Belgium where British soccer fans killed nealry 40 Italian fans. #neverforget #neverrepeat
9) People who know better but don’t do better
Again, I am bringing in children as now I couldn’t care less about “the wrong people”, but kids are often affected by that. If you act weak, yet are an adult having choices a child does not have, you are leading a horrible example for why people like Hitler have ever had a chance to get nominated to begin with.
10) Those who say things knowing they know nothing about it
This of course is so meant in terms of politics. Allow your kids to know something. Not be impressed by your fake conviction imitating you into chosen ignorance. Shame on you.
To be continued …
